If I could vote for a president in my country (which I hope, but doubt will happen soon), and she'd be the candidate for my party, I would. I vote for an idea, a way I want my country to be led. Gender doesn't matter a thing to me, as far as politics go.

Meh Al, shes a fag.

I'm personally hoping for a republican and democratic female canidate. It will be an interesting election, considering that some men are so full of their gender that they seem to think female presidents are a disgrace. It will be interesting to see if an independant would get elected if all the other canidates were female.

i voted yes, if they are a worthy person.

It would all depend on the circumstances. Madragoran, if both were woman, I would seriously consider voting for an independent, as long as they were more or less conservative. And yes, hilary clinton is a fag.

Erm... Kerry got so many votes because so many people didn't want the least intelligent man who was ever elected to lead a country to be re-elected. The people who voted Kerry voted for peace and progress, and against the idiot, stubborn warmonger who (amost) the entire world despises...

I think the choices you put up there are retarded. How about "Yes, if she would make a better president than her opponent." Instead your poll seems to be about whether woman should have the right to be president or not. Gender shouldn't matter when deciding on a president. They call it sexist when you make decisions based simply on someone's gender.

Goth, that was kind of the point. Fact is, we haven't had a woman president yet, and there are a lot of sexists out there who would never vote for a woman president.

Peter, arent you not even from the US?

And least intelligent man? on the contrary, He is very intelligent, though he has some speech issues...

The race between bush and kerry was almost pointless. If Kerry had won, we would be 3x worse than we are now. But since bush won, it couldnt have gotten worse unless something was started (like another war).

If my vote was the vote that decided between..lets say hilary clinton and a female republican canidate. I would not vote clinton in if i was paid. Shes worse than her husband.

So she's still pretty good then? Her husband was a good president. Look at the state the country was in during the 90's and look at it now.

guys, the president doesn't really control how good the economy is, and how many more 9/11's we have. It's stupid to blame that kind of stuff on the president. GoTh, I hope you aren't saying you voted for Kerry?!!

I may not be able to vote cuz I'm Canadian, but a presedent effects the world, I'd say sure w/e. Let women have a chance (if they're smart).

pretty much even experts agree the state of the economy and nation for the first couple of years of a term is directly related to the previous president and has nothing to do with the current president

plus not being sexist but i think now would be a horrible time for a woman president not because she wouldnt be a good leader but because terrorists and other nations would view a woman president in the u.s. as a sign of weakness

It's really not gender that matters, it's your ideas.

If you actually said NO cuz it's a woman... that makes you sexist.

I agree with much of what is said in this thread...I really don't believe that gender matters. It's the positions on issues and the attitude that I look for in a candidate. However, Clinton isn't looking to good right now, behind Obama...
